In general plain, unprocessed ham can be part of a diabetic-friendly diet when eaten in moderation and without sugary glazes or additives. Like with any protein source, it’s important to watch portion sizes to avoid consuming too many calories, which can contribute to weight gain and complicate diabetes management.
